No way that is fake. We all know from these forums that trad archers are of the highest moral standing
Great looking bow isn't it.

thats a keeper that one Lewis, well found. If only I had the time and resources to put into workmanship like that!
"I am the arrow..the arrow is me...together as one...I fly to thee"
"the stick maybe crooked and the string hath no form,
then married by bowyer, transforms when first drawn"

Or do you reckon he might have been sharing a sight-gag with you, boys?pdccr wrote:Holy bajeebas! How fast must that have been going, probably fake.
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!
Re: a nice buildalong i found
Maybe he shot through a candle and the arrow caught on fire Or he just wanted to show off his bow. And waste and arrow along the way.

Awesome bow.
Wingnut is a great bowyer. Check out Dryad bows if you want a really good one.

Tom what dimensions should i use for a spotted gum board bow? Drawing low poundages only though. 30-40 is the aim.

Re: a nice buildalong i found
yeah, i love this buildalong, it is one of the most beautiful bows i have ever seen.
there would have to be heaps of time put into this bow and would have been sold for well over $1000.

Re: a nice buildalong i found
Mine is 2 inches at the fades and half inch at the tips. It's 33 at 28 and 64" long but it's the only bow I've ever made. Maybe Glenn will be able to assist you.pdccr wrote:Tom what dimensions should i use for a spotted gum board bow? Drawing low poundages only though. 30-40 is the aim.

Ok awesome, yer i will wait untill glenn gets on, he seems to know the answers to all my questions. I glued a riser on one board and it should yeild 2 staves. Its 4cm wide.
