Long bow for a friend
Made a new bow recently for a friend to take when we go hunting together in September. Trying to convert him from training wheels
The bow is 68"NTN, 60#@28". It has Qld Walnut and WA Lacey She Oak in the riser with QLD Silver Ash and black Botuff accent. Riser accent is clear glass over WA Lacey She Oak. The limbs are brown Botuff ULS over vertical bamboo core lams. Tip overlays are water buffalo horn and WA Lacey She Oak. Strike plate is roo skin and the string is 14 strand FF+ with 18 strand loops. It shoots really nice, quick and quite. Will be a challenge to let it go cos it shoots better than my own bows Thanks for looking.
Cheers... Rod

Great looking bow Rod..........I'm sure your mate will appreciate carrying that round the scrub more than his brick. I hunt with a mate who also shoots compound. Ever time we go over a fence I'm reminded how heavy those things are. Good luck on the up coming trip.....

Rod, your hunting mate should be pleased with the bow, good selection of timbers in the handle.
You have tempted me to drag my deflex / reflex form out of moth balls; must be four or more years since I have made a bow in this style.
Well done,
Daryl.

Nice bow Rod, I love the curves of the deflex/reflex. Very sexy.
