Looking for a lesson on bowmaking on the Sunshine Coast
Can any bowyer near the coast ( SE QLD ) give me a workshop day on bowmaking. I want to make a flat bow and I have tried twice now and failed both times. Any help would be great.
Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt welcome to Ozbow,
Can you provide some details on the bows that did not work?
Photos of the ones that did not work would be helpful as well as the timber used and dimensions of the bow; i.e. length, width at fades and string nocks as well as limb thickness.
If you can give your location it may be beneficial as bowyers who may live in your general area can make contact.
Daryl.

Hi everyone sorry for the late reply. I tried Tasmanian oak twice and it broke during the tillering phase both times. I also tried with yew last year and and had the same problem.
After getting in touch with Bob I'm now currently working on a glass bow and have to say he's been great. Learned so much in just two days and has realy helped me. I didn't expect that much help so I can't believe my luck, but have to say I'm learning from a great Bowyer!
