First Hare
My recent trip to Victoria I managed my first Hare at 4m with my new takedown longbow. Being from Western Australia where there are no Hares its a big deal for me. I have been slowly getting all my ABA game species badges and now only have Deer left. Although there is 6 deer species (all east coast as well) I'll be happy with just one.
I also managed my first Alpine Fox at 14m
I had two stalks on Sambar hinds but It wasn't to be. I really enjoyed the Victorian Hunting and will be back next year.
Cheers Muz

Re: First Hare
Cheers Fellas, It was a weeee bit fresher than I'm used to. The sun only appeared on day 8, the beanies definitely got a good work out.
Re: First Hare
Great Effort Muz those big rabbits are a challenge with trad gear for sure.
The east coast is certainly spoiled for species choice but I thought you were based in the SW of WA, you should be used to the cold.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is no where as important as being able to place it in the correct spot....!
Re: First Hare
My Hare that I shot with a bow I made now hangs proudly behind my bar. Very happy with the quality of work. A great reminder of my first Victorian hunt.
