Re: Canberra Blokes
I didn't take any pics of the critters either, given I left my camera at home - the one here was using a mobile phone. Dunno if the rest of the guys took pix of theirs either....
Steve - I got one by default, that is all I am saying - and could have got one the following day but after a perfect stalk and positioning missed a sitter shooting downhill - very steep slope and I didnt allow for it and the arra went high - the release was not all that good either BUT note in picture small red dot in top right hand area. Where I am standing is about 100 yards from camp. The red dot is where I missed. That would have been a long walk with a bunch of meat that would have ended up in the Chiropractors

Nope - left it at home deliberately - no room in bumbag after factoring in snacks, game meat bags etc.

Re: Canberra Blokes
Mate, I've seen some truly horrible things when out bush - mostly around the campsite first thing in the morning - white abdominal flesh, brickie's cleavages....
And all of it in relation to people much taller than me....

I also don;t have any photo's of my 2 but here's some more of the region. It's a pretty spectacular spot and a seriously good walk!
There's been a heap of rain there recently. This river is normally 1/4 to 1/2 this size and you can walk across it in most places
Re: Canberra Blokes
Nice looking valley. Just goats on the place or a few deer or pigs floating about too?

There's definitely pigs about. Seen a couple and heaps of sign but no luck - yet.
Supposedly Tom has seen a deer there but not recently.

LP and I saw 4 pigs on Sat morning and got a stalk in but no pork for our forks, and I have seen plenty of fallow sign. We saw a mob of pigs out in a paddock (running away ) on our drive out too.Tommo wrote:Nice looking valley. Just goats on the place or a few deer or pigs floating about too?

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is no where as important as being able to place it in the correct spot....!
