I saw this guy a while back making videos about primitive tools and huts but he never speaks. He lives in Far North Queensland and is getting super popular on Youtube. Recently he made a video about primitive bows and arrows.
It's a great watch for anyone who's interested in selfbows or just how it would be done using stone tools.

He's keen that's for sure and some great stuff there. Wish I had that much spare time. Today I spent putting in my 240V wiring for the house extension. I'd say some of my work is pretty primitive.

Daryl.
"And you must not stick for a groat or twelvepence more than another man would give, if it be a good bow.

Re: Primitive Technology - Bow and arrows
Hard to tell without seeing the Leaves but the Bark looks a little like a Soapwood -Alphitonia-Petriei It grows just about everywhere in Australia. What makes me think it might be Soapwood other than the Bark is there is quite a few of them growing in proximity to each other, Soapwood is a Tree that comes up first when land has been cleared and establishes a Canopy for other Tree's to grow under. The Bark looks a little smooth but it could just be a regional variation ?? Someone's gotto know this Bloke, very skilled Fella. Enjoy his Video's no end.
