survivaltopics.com is a good site
The degree of satisfaction gained from the accomplishment of a goal is directly proportional to the hardships and challenges overcome in order to achieve it.

Interesting site Clinton. I'll be off to buy a shotgun and chase bad guys through the jungle tomorrow
The other topics are a little less exciting.

It's tricky sometime to distinguish the survival/bushcraft sites from the survivalist/prepare for Armageddon sites.
For example, I clicked on the survialtopic link in the post above.

What sort of survival situation am I going to want a fire that helps prevent me from getting found? None I can think of. But maybe, if I'm hiding out from the mutant zombie bikers, this would be a great technique. The Dakota Fire Hole
Of all the methods for making a survival fire the Dakota Fire Hole may be the best ever devised.
Simple to construct, efficient, and stealthy when you do not want to be found, apply this excellent survival fire skill during your next adventure...

I've got another forum worth checking out.
The going bush forum on this site.

Of particular note is a forum poster called Le-Loup, who is an Australian 18th century enthusiast.
He makes youtube video's also.

Here's one- http://www.aussurvivalist.com/ but you'll have to wade through some pretty nutty/scary stuff to get to what's real.
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!
