Tob stuff, Jeff!
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

That first shingle back photo is awesome. I love action shots.
There's no adventure in knowing where you are.

Rod, after checking my bird book it appears those pigeons are from the more arid areas of the country. I had never ever seen one before.
Those Shingleback's are cute I reckon and I normally stop and check them out and give'm a little pat. I guess people would nickname them stumpy's Nev.

Nice photos there Jeff
It looks like it was a great trip.
Dont you just love those Finches I get them here by the dozens some days.
I sometimes just sit quietly with a cuppa and just watch them coming and going.
Cheers

Ross,
Thanks, I was just using a little Canon A series with a 4X zoom. If you look closer a few of the bird shots are cropped heavily. I did have my digital SLR with me but I don't have a tele lense for it.
I would like a 400mm lens for taking shots out bush but can't afford one.

Thanks Jeff, I know what you mean about the price. Thought I may have bought a 200---400 lens, then I found out the price, $9500. now I'm back to dreaming.
Ross.

Is that the Nikon lens your talking about? I use a Canon digital SLR.
