Tried a new to me design

#1 Post by BenBow » Tue Jul 20, 2010 7:20 am

Tried a different style 3-piece for me I'd only made belly mounted limbs before. So far I like how it came out. Fiddleback maple and rosewood riser, Limbs have lams made from old maple gym flooring with black glass, timber rattler skins, and buffalo horn overlay. 64" 44lbs at 28". I like to keep some of the snake skin texture it just seems more real to me that way. Not pro quality but I have fun.

Nice lines - looks well put together. Sometimes I think we are our own worst critics - I've seen some shocking bows made by Pro's ?????

I'm interested which design you find more forgiving to shoot

Thanks for the compliments gentleman. Jacko I built this for a friend and it's right handed and I'm left handed but I shot this as well as my left handed belly mounted limb bow. I didn't get time to shoot them side by side though.

Seems there must be a problem with where they were hosted. That is the problem when photos aren't loaded directly to the site. :(
