New Projects

#1 Post by Trad Bound » Sun Apr 25, 2010 2:31 pm

I been inspired by Stringnstik's leatherwork so it was time to do a few things

Image

handmade and sewn leather sheath and armguard with embossed dragon
coffin handled bowie 14inches length 9 inches of blade 440c stainless steel with Black Walnut handle (timber provided by Mark Eastham "Big Karhoonah" "he who plays in the shadows")
Image
Leather quiver with side entry, lots of hand stiching (never again) two wire rods stiched inside to hold shape, brass rings, buckle and clip with copper rivets. Arrows Douglas Fir shafts from Surewoods

Image

All together. After making the arm guard, sheath and the quiver I can tell you anything fancy is done with love and a lot of time. Believe me unless you have a lot of time or a heavy duty sewing machine and enjoy such work buy it already made.
Stringnstik the ball is back in your court.

Very nice indeed Tony. You are still the master, not the grasshopper. :D

There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.
