Thanks,

I use a grinding drum on my drill press with 40 grit on for the first bits and 120grit for the finish.

Bandsaw and rubber wheel end of lamination grinder.

The photo shows a client cleaning up the fadeouts after the bandsaw. Final touch up with a round ended sanding stick.

Otis - I do use a bandsaw too - but if feeling all virtuous I will use the rasp. And you are right with the scraper - I have found them invaluable for cleaning up any bumps or inconsitencies......mind you, my drill press chuck is a wedge fit - great for vertical work - up and down drilling - but any lateral stuff and they can and do drop out. Scared the living proverbial out of me when it first happened.... :o

When you have finished with the scraper do you roughen up the surface to improve the glue bond?
