It took me while to get set up but I've finaly finnish my first bow.she's a reflex deflex design and is 68 " nock to nock,50# at 28.Riser woods are red gum with walnut accent strips. There's no hand shock (bonus)and is great to shoot.

Beautiful workmanship Rick! Do you have a background in woodworking?
To save Jeff the effort the bow is a Deflex Reflex design rather than the reverse.
Do you have a pic of tips? :)
Regards Steve

LB Steve,
so what your saying is that the bow limbs from the handle actually deflex (curve/bend out) then reflex (curve/bend in) towards the tips ??? yes/no ??........Bill

Beautiful craftsmanship Rick, you should be pleased as punch with it and I'm sure it feels great shooting a bow you made yourself!!! What wood did you use in the limbs?

Thanks Steve! :D

Good on ya, Rick!
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

rickw,.............. any chances of a picture of the bow either from the front or back. Have you cut the sight window beyond center or is that just the impression one gets from the photo's.......Bill

Thanks Rick; the Rock Maple is a tried and true core wood and makes a nice contrast with the riser wood etc.

Bill, the bow is cut to center so she would shoot the arrows I had on hand,GT 55-75 with 100 grain inserts.I wasn't to sure If it was the right thing to do but I supose i could always pack the window out a bit.Hope to meet you at the club mate and if your shoulder is ok you can have a few shots.

Hi Rick,

Very nice work.
I hope it inspires others to have a go.
