Can this bow be completed? Bowyers help needed
After going through a couple of my builds i had a look at a pyramid bow i attempted. After a rushed roughing out (freehand) i made a pretty bad mistake of not making the handle striaght. Below are a few pictures of the bow but i want to know if this bow can be made into a take down? What inspired me to do this was Daryl's post on a take down longbow i dug up. Wood is spotted gum and quandong backing. I have sanded it all down and still the handle is bad, the more i try to work on it the worse it gets. The first picture i think is the easiest to see it. Its probably a bit too complicated for me but i was thinking i might as well give it a go, its only collecting dust in the shed.
Here is the link to Greybeards post, the design is mostly the same but i am unsure about the joints.

Hi Toby,
Not knowing the handle and fadeout dimensions it is a little bit difficult to come up with the correct answer.
After studying the photos I think the sleeve system would be the most suitable alternative. I sleeved a bamboo back and belly one piece bow and it worked out to be a good takedown bow.

Could you explain the sleeved system? Is that the same as the one you used?
I was thinking i would have to make a new riser but keep the limbs.

So i would need to purchase the sleeves and then bore a hole in one limb and round the other off. Does it matter if the sleeves are small as the handle is small? (35mm rounded)
The other possibility is that i could chisel the original handle off and glue a higher one to make the sockets stronger.
