i was shooting for 65-70 and its close to 70 so im happy i strung it earlier and the string slipped out of the groove and the bow whacked my arm and face so lesson learnt :lol: ...Rod

Nice bows Kim and Rod, Interesting topic isn't it?
I'd be happy with 200fps but as long as it shoots that will do,
Going to glue up one today with the LVL structural beam lams, same build as the last with Bamboo and silky oak, figured I could compare results then.

Rod thanks for the pics, that bow looks good. I can see its a little stiff at the tip ends but not as much as a thought it might. Rod what lenght bow is it and the riser length. It would be good to here how well and fast it shoots. After seeing yours rod i think i will make my first lam bow parallel laminations.

Ross,this bow is 68ntn ,18in. handle,been crook today so did'nt finish it,hopefully finish it tomorrow,let you know how it goes then................Rod

Rod no rush i am just biting at the bit to have a go myself. got destracted all weekend and could start on my bow. I will get things going during the week day. I will have to make myself a better bow form. I laminated some bamboo for a test run with just wood glue and i have to say if it was the real thing i would have been in real trouble. Ill have to search the sight for a decent form plans.....Ross
