Daughters first arrows
Okay, Okay there not wood but there a start. School holidays are always a special time to spend with your young ones.
It has been raining for the last two days so we thought it would be time for my daughter to have a go at making up some of her own shafts with a little help along the way.
Her name is Lilly and she is 11.
I had some old GT carbon shafts we cutt down for her, dad done this because of the dust and cutter used.
She cutt her own feathers out on the chopper (girls colours of course).
I just got a new jig a Blitzy and it worked well on the fletching.I spliced a few cock feathers and off she went.
Then we set up for a photo shoot with her new arrows and her little Bear 20lb fibreglass longbow and she took this photo of her first put together arrows.
Will post a few photos when we start shooting the bails.
Cheers Wayno.

Pretty!!! I hope she has fun shooting them.
The feathers seem to be placed well forward of the nocks mate any reason for this?

Yeh Jeff she has just started to use that glove in the picture and she tends to keep grabbing the backs of the feathers on her other arrows when appling them to the string, so we put them a little further forward will let you know how this goes.

Nothing wrong with pink. At one year old, my son wears heaps of pink that has been handed down from his older sisters

His big sisters threw one of their nighties on him the other night for laughs.
Those are still nice arrows. It is always fun to play with splicing. If I don't have plans for the left over sections I use them on arrows for the kids built around 1/4 inch ramin dowels.
