Playing with leather (Now for sale)

#1 Post by Mike-dy » Mon Nov 09, 2009 8:44 pm

Finished off another quiver on the weekend, and figured since I have made everything else, Bows, Arrows, Armguard etc I figured I'd give a glove a go.
Made tabs before just hate using them. A glove was the final frontier, heres the result :) :)
Cheers,
Mike

"the stick maybe crooked and the string hath no form,
then married by bowyer, transforms when first drawn"

Really wasn't as difficult as I imagined it would be, but a decent sewing machine would make it easier :)

Well done as allways your craftsmanship is great. The water bottle holder you made for me is a work of art and is always commented on
Look forward to seeing more of your stuff at the Ballarat trad shoot. And yes the woody will be making another apperance and i will have some string jigs to show off.

Hi Geoff,
The quiver is one of mine based on a mates modifications to an old quiver he had, they sell in kit form through Wildwood Archery (whitehawk on Ozbow) I made a few patterns up and did a number of trial runs before settling on this design and now make them up using templates I have made. There is absolutely nothing stopping anyone buying a kit a using it as a template to make their own. It is not a commercially or freely available pattern. I did look for them but none of the ones I found suited me :D .

Being a back quiver, if the pigs are seeing it you won't be shooting them anyway, theyve already got downwind of ya   Seriously though it wasn,t made for hunting this one.

Jeff , if I can get this bloody Kodak camera to work again I'll put the closeups up tomorrow.

What line of work were you in? Adam Greentree is offering a fencing job with plenty of bowhunting over at TBGA. I don't know if that's any use to you. All the best.

Cheers mate. I was just wondering as I am in the process of making up a pattern for an armguard and a glove.

I like the clean simple approach shown in this Quiver set :D Amazing how much bling colour adds.
