Hey Rod.
Another good job.
Nice smooth curves on it.
I definetly prefer bows with some curves on it and this one came out very nice.
The finish looks really good as well. Good glue lines also.
Well done.

Alex.

Kim,i put it and a bow with 1in.reflex but the same draw weight through my cronograph and useing the same 555grn.arrow and the same old string the D/r was 5ft. p.s faster, as far as shooting they feel similer but i havent shot them much, going to make new strings today see what difference it makes :D ...................Rod

With the limited time I have spent with the straight design I have found that the R/D seems to hold more string tension even at brace and this results in a better performing bow IMHO.It seems that you need more timber in the straight bows for the same poundage and I suggest that this also shows that the R/D is a more efficient design.

thanks Wayno, this bow had 3 tapers and 1par.but all bamboo, but the wattle seems to up the poundage of the bow and speed the arrow up,well it did in the flatter bows,my favourite hunting bow is 70lb.flat layed with the wattle par.and its a little bit faster than my 70 with 1in.reflex,i like the wattle if i had enough i'd,make all my lams out of it  time is'nt my problem energy is. ......................Rod

Rod do you think you will go past the 1 inch reflex to see if it improves the speed.
I guess if the wattle is speeding things a little more there's no need to.
Dam I think I just answered the question I was going to ask?

Love those bows mate.

Cheers Wayno.

well so far i like it its smooth to draw, hits hard ,accurate, but a bit noisy, even when using 80 -85 spine wood arrows,i weakened the bottom limb today so it was even tiller played with brace height, still noisy might just need to be shot heaps and worn in,dont think i would go much more with reflex maybe in the future, but going to do another one on this form soon ,i bought some gear off another hobbie bow maker the other day that had an old form in the gear so i want to do a bow on it too.........................Rod
