New Shafts recieve traded bow.

#1 Post by UPTHETOP » Sun Oct 25, 2009 10:43 am

Just recently swapped a bow with Ed (thanks Ed) and before I got it put together a set of shafts to suit her.
Well it arrived in the mail and it all come together and they shoot fine.
Shafts- POC's 11/32's 4x4 inch fletching and 160grn field pionts.
Bow- Predator Classic 60'' 59lb @ 28
Not a bad matchup.

Thanks fellas. I paint the colour orange on first acylic three coats to cover.
Then the stripes.
Then I apply 1 coat of satin clear (feast watson) turps base over the top.
Let it dry for two days hard and then fletch with fletchtite glue .
When finished run a bead of fletchtite all the way around the feather.

When finished apply another two coats of the clear between th fletches and on the shafts.

The only time they come off if there smashed by another arrow.

I just brought it from a craft shop cheap as.and covers good.
I prepare all my shafts with sanding sealer when straitening them first and this helps them from bending again and also makes the acylic cover well.
