I am in the middle of making my first ever set of arrows. Just tried fixing my classic nocks to the tapered arrow and the edge of the plastic nock melted / dissolved. Used an English glue called HMG recommended for the job. Tried with Tarzan's grip too - same result. Shafts were coated with a clear polyurethane.
Anyone else had the same problem. Thoughts / solutions?

So ,, the nock melted ? I use Loctite 401 or 406
Re: A problem with attaching arrow knocks
Some times the glue doesnt work properly if you have sealed it, try sanding a bit then re-glue.

It is quite normal for the plastic to melt a little on the inside glue surface only.
