Excellent craftsmanship Paolo; the bow looks very impressive!!! It has real character. It looks like the stave came from a small tree or branch, is that right?

Do you have Osage planted in Italy or did you import the wood?

Welcome to Ozbow also!!! :D

Thank to all for your appreciation.
When I saw all those knotts I didn't believe I could be able to make a bow.
But I tried......

ciao Maurizio,
grazie per l'apprezzamento
sì ho qualche foto dei vari passaggi ma non sono sicuro di trovarle.

Paolo

Hi Maurizio,
yes I have some picture of the building process but I'm not sure to find them.

thank you Jeff,
yes it wasn't a stave, it was a branch.
Yes we have lot of Osage plants in north of Italy in the Pianura Padana. Farmes use them as border between different fields's owners.

It's an Osage Orange Bow.... it works well in compression and also in extention.
A good seasoning ( 2 years) do the rest of the work.
