pine pitch

what ratio of pine resin:charcoal:manure do you find is the best? i just stockpiled a heap of resin before moving to nhulunbuy.

I once tried a mixture recommended by Tom Brown jr. ("The Tracker"), he did not use manure at all but just heated the resin and added charcoal in a 3:1 to 2:1 ratio.

ohh, sorry forgot the most important part.
was sticky to work with :D my hands were glued together for three days, had to eat soup through a straw.... :lol:

no just kidding, was good imo. i had no actual use for it, just was testin, so i glued a stone (pointlike but not knapped) into a fake shaft. held perfect. was quite easy to work with, as long as you keep it warm enough. i tried how it performed with moist, no problem at all.
