I am finally starting to make another longbow after a long break from bow building...This bow is going to be laminated with a slight reflex. The two main woods I'm using this time are Tasmainian oak and Hard Maple...
Lets hope this one turns out like my other one...I will post pic's next weekend.

which wood did you go for the tas oak or maple, tas oak bows are good fun because they are full of suprises(cause its not a species) but maple would be way safer

I'm using tas oak.
I worked on it for about three hours...cut out the shape on the table saw...planed it...it's a pyrimid limb design...glued on handle as well...I will do tip over lays tomorrow...It's going good...big chance this one is going to be a sucess.

Out of curiosity did you ever end up making a Tassie Oak bow? I am curious because I am attempting to build one and trying to gather all the info I can.
Thanks
