build a long help

hey guys im working on a build a long at the moment and im looking for some insight from people new to bowyery on which points of the craft they get stuck on, this bow is of D bow form and laminated construction with a deep belly so tillering can be covered any info would help thanks guys.

and I busted so many that in the latest project I had a block for 2 days until I decided "just get it done".
Are you well informed or is your news limited?

yeah i thought as much well thats why im making the bow the way i am cause the backing is good enough to hold down splinters and from what i have seen bamboo dosent fret and its long enough to forgive little mistakes, ill focus on tillering.

Ichi, if you are using bamboo as a backing you need to hand taper the bamboo towards the tip to reduce the pressure fron the bamboo, to do this it is best to cut the backing profile first and then taper the bamboo. The bamboo can and will overpower the belly timbers.
It's also good to start the bending process coming off the handle and work out towards the tip. If you start from the tips you will end up with a whip tillered limb that will take excessive string follow and it will be hand jarry to shoot...Glenn...

nah dont fret its boo belly, i personaly like the look of a boo back but its not really my thing.

well the bow i was making split on the backing (the grain ran off, i thought it would be able to handle it) so im starting again
