Home Made Glue/Sinew
It would take a all eternity to learn all there is to know in this world. All we can do is share our knowledge and help others to understand that which we have worked hard to discover in the hope that they will not repeat our mistakes.
Re: Home Made Glue/Sinew
Great Jake, thanks, and if you follow a link further to http://www.hideandfur.com/ there is a very long list of horn, bone, stone and similar artifacts.
Re: Home Made Glue/Sinew
Great sites boys, just read over a section in TBB on backing. I understand a little more now
Cheers, Toby

Hi Jake, what are you up to? I never made hide-glue but will keep that link in case. Have made milk glue years ago and that is amazingly strong. Also pitch glue with charcoal and wattle gum (got a small jar of gum put by ), will make some more up this winter when I get into arrow-making.
I saw the other link and posted it because over time a few here have asked about horn and stag and skulls and stone points. Fancy a wolf skull myself but a bit expensive for me.
So ... you backing a bow? First catch your deer eh?
