Me first go at splicing.

#1 Post by UPTHETOP » Tue Mar 24, 2009 6:06 pm

Well it got the better of me and I just had to give it a go. I didnt have many tools just a small pair of sizzors, and a tooth pick done the job though. I guess the more I do the better I''II get.
My aim is to get good enough to do three splicers neatly. Thanks for the inspiration Al Kid the more I look at your work the more I have to try.

Cheers Wayno

Good work Wayno. By the looks of it you did the butt method when spilcen, am I right? I do it the other way by lifting up the feather off the quill and gluen down a new bit of feather once it's sanded back some. Takes some doing but worth it.

Here is a pic for more homework ...

"the stick maybe crooked and the string hath no form,
then married by bowyer, transforms when first drawn"
