just so u know wat you making are called board bows (not relly a self bow, but there my fave to make) there has been many many threads about this so i dont want to start a storm (you know who you are), but generally a good rule of thumb is a self bow is made form 1 bit of wood and are unbacked like the old english warbows.......but they had horn nocks...i donno anymore :? hehe Grats on the lovly bow though let me know how you like that finish.
i mean no rudeness or anything just letting you know.

cheers,
Dave

Lewis dropped in on the weekend to show me how the bow is coming along and I must say he should be very proud of his efforts so far.It was a challenging board to say the least and to get it to his draw length in one piece is to be commended. He seems to have a flair for it and must be listening to the timber to have got it this far on his own. There where some small tillering things to work on but I can see some good bows coming out of Dalby real soon. Keep up the good work mate.
Cheers KIM
