second osage self bow.

#1 Post by bigbob » Sun May 21, 2017 1:09 pm

Seeing Col's terrific effort with his gnarly stave prompted me to return to the second stave I was working on.Currently at 60# @ 28''. Had to return it to form as it has a persistent run out on each limb which hopefully will be removed with my heat gun.Have to leave it clamped up for couple days.Still bit of work to do on limbs then to adjust tiller very slightly etc.

Couple shots here of stave as is, put in back in steamer as it has a very ornery want to run out on limb alignment.
