Another new bow

Hello again,

This is not the same bow as that in the other recent thread about recovering from a lifted splinter. This's another one.

White Oak on Ironbark. Glued with only 1" reflex, which ends up dead straight after shooting. 66" ntn, 68" ttt. 2" wide at the fades, 47 lb at 28". The leather handle is only to cover the splice in the backing; this backing was made from two lams sliced from a 1000 mm board.

The full draw here looks a bit distorted due to the cant of the shooting. It's not really as stiff-tipped as it seems here:

This is a beautiful bow, Dave. A real credit to you.

This, along with the other bow you've posted, demonstrate the usage of White Oak as a sound backing material. It also supports Tim Bakers claim that White Oak is not far off Hickory as a good backing - to be able to work with an Ironbark belly, it must be good.
