making my first bow

Hey guys beginner from sydney here looking for advice on how to make my first bow. what sort of tools i should buy and where could i find appropriate timber, what kind of timber is best to use and just any advice in general you guys have for me.

Hi Philson. Best advice I can give you is to trawl through the posts such as in Traditional crafts section. There is a wealth of information there including timber selection, dimensions etc.

You might also want to check out www.poorfolkbows.com. It's got clear buildalongs using very straightforward language which is ideal for a beginner.
