takedown'curve.
Haven't posted for a while so here's few shots of work in progress. 62'' takedown Red Box/ actionwood riser, silver ash wedges, tulipwood belly lams and 'boo core. 58# @ 28'' still has more sanding and then finish coats. I just wiped over some poly to highlight flaws for sanding.

Bootifull, Bigbob! That Tulipwood almost looks like Cypress...
Love the actionwood & mosaic in the riser. A lot of care & attention in there.

Re: takedown'curve.
Thanks Nezwin. Actionwood is no longer available seeing as the factory that made it burned down and is apparently not being replaced.I just have one remaining block. I like the look of the tulipwood too, but this the only piece/s I have, generous gift from a fellow Ozbower

Very nice Bob
Re: takedown'curve.
Very nice Bob, great contrast in the colour design.
Re: takedown'curve.
Thanks Rod, pity I have to cut a full block of actionwood to make a riser. most ends up as off cuts that due to the way the ply runs are no good for anything, maybe clamping blocks or the like.

Re: takedown'curve.
May have to steal that grip shape for my next bow. Looks like it would cause your had to slide into the same position every time. Good job!
Re: takedown'curve.
Be my guest! I do find that it really does allow the thumb to sit exactly in the same place each time so takes one small potential problem out of the way.
