forward mount longbow.

#1 Post by bigbob » Sun Jan 24, 2016 2:04 pm

this is one just completed for a client. 55# @ 28'' and 66 NTN. The throat of the grip being in front of the limbs seems to add another dimension of stability to this style of bow and being cut closer to centre shot makes spine less critical as well as potentially more accurate. It has a small amount of reflex for a bit of preload and flings an arrow with authority. It is also very quiet and the string silencers are only fitted because this bow will double up for hunting as well as target.

At Last ! Smart work Bob. Forward Grips are much less prone to Torque.

fully agree Perry!Very stable in the hand and very quiet on the shot as well. You might like another I'm nearly finished too, a black wattle pyramid bow, brother to one that looked promising few weeks ago but which self destructed at a grain runout. This one seems like it will go the distance, and will post photos in couple days .

yep same one just had to finish it off. Thanks for the words of encouragement Swami. The new owner tried it and shot 338 off the red peg first time out with no practice, so it works ok!
