Small camp axe.

#1 Post by UPTHETOP » Mon Oct 19, 2015 5:47 pm

I started off at having a go at building a throwing axe but got a little carried away and the handle is to nice to use as an thrower now. So will leave it hanging around the camp to chop up small kindle for the fire.
Still have a little polishing work to go on the head section. The blade was an old cutting bar of an grader or something and the pipe a piece of stainless. Hope there's no boiler makers or welders on the site as me welding was pretty rough as Im only a back yarder. The woods in the handle are red cedar and bamboo lams.
Is amazing what you can do if you have a go I recone.

Cheers Wayno

Very nice Wayno, the red cedar has great contrast with the bamboo.

Cheers... Rod
