First side Quiver

#1 Post by UPTHETOP » Sat Feb 14, 2015 6:23 pm

I've always wanted to have a crack at making a side quiver and see how it would come out .May be they are practical to use. Well with an old goat skin a good mate gave me (Old Silver ) I don't know how long ago thought I had better make one up for him. I was limited with the skin as it had been butchered by my mate I think he cut it with a axe or some thing. Anyway just made it up as I was going along, it has a PVC inner tube which makes it pretty tough and still come out pretty light weight. Bit of contact and stitching here and she's finally finished two years later. Have used it a few times shooting the target bunt and it works well when you get use to it. I can see the application of putting it on first and then a day pack over the top and it would not be uncomfortable as trying to wear a standard back quiver with your day pack which can be uncomfortable at times. So a few pics.

Cheers Wayno

Nice! I'd like to make one of these too, one day. It would be easy to make up a waterproof hood that covers the fletching and attach it to the quiver with some elastic, for those rainy days.
There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

Nice quiver Wayno, kinda like my safari-tuff quiver but much more stylish.
