Bamboo

Hey guys, just curious as ive never built a decent homemade bow, we have a bit bamboo we cut down about 3" wide and was wondering if I can make anything decent out of it?? any ideas??

There are over 1000 types of bamboo so some photos of node profile, node spacing and wall thickness would be helpful.
