Last lot of arras for a while...
Morning good Ozbow folk,
Just finished what seems to have been an endless series of arrows. Having made 72 fairly basic arrows for my friend James (who's recently got into Trad archery), I got stuck into this selection for charity and a couple of mates.
The blue and white striped numbers are for a chap called Ross who won them in the raffle at Roadie's charity shoot in Mildura. As you can see he's a Geelong fan. He shoots a 46@28 English longbow and draws to 30". These are 5/16 and all about 40-42lb spine and 464 grains +/- 4. He hasn't seen them yet. They'll get posted to Roadie to hand over tomorrow.
The red/blue/green in Namibian flag colours are for a best mate in Ceduna, South Australia. They're footed Wallace shafts. He owns a game farm in Namibia, so has a hunted a bit with rifles and expressed an interest in Trad bows. It's his 50th on Boxing Day. So I'll be making a unannounced visit with these arrows, a custom 50lb Barbarian reverse handle bow Nick L made for him, plus quiver, custom armguard and all sorts of other nick nacks - none of which he knows anything about, all a surprise gift. He'd better be happy, or me and his Mrs have wasted a few bob.
The black/white/red/grey jobbies are for Nick Lintern in sort of part-ex for a warbow he's making for me. 'Nothing too loud' was his request. So these are fairly subtle. Five inch fletch, 61-63lb in spine and all within 574-578 grains - with the 165 points he likes.
Last lot, yellow/black, are more charity arrows (might have posted these before, not sure). Anyway, they were for Swampy (aka Keith) who won them at The Gathering. All within 3lb in spine and about 8 grains. So plenty good enough for bashing around HVTA.
One more set for Animal's better half Pamela (won at the Spec's Shoot) to go, then no more for a few months I think. I have a girlfriend who requires attention.

Nice work Andy, make sure when you are giving Nic his arrows you wrap it in some Lycra. I believe he is very keen on it from what he was saying at Wisemans .

Hmm Ms Wallace. A job? I suspect the salary may be a touch disappointing.
