Cheers guys, the buff horn comes up great, this is it for a little while now Bob, the plan is to use them now, one for me one for the missus and the Diamondwood 62" is for a mate who wants to join me on the hunt, getting into a few more knives for now.

got out for a shot with me mate today that I built the 62" for, would have to say for someone who hasn't shot a bow much before combined with my poor teaching skills and a hell of a crosswind he was deadly accurate and showed me up quite considerably, and loves his bow. I thought it was rewarding building them and shooting them for myself, but to see him happy with his bow and shooting it that well gave me just as much satisfaction.

I know what you mean mate,sometimes I just like to sit down and watch people shooting my bows and enjoying it,its even better seeing someone out hunting,harvesting ferals with a bow you spent a lot of time crafting and the smile on their faces is a great reward

the only thing that can top that off is seeing the smile on the mans face that taught me how to make bows in the first place ,after he got a kill with a bow I made him,i think it was a proud moment for both of us

Thanks Rod same here mate, had a scout yesterday, but fairly green here and most of the goats are up in the hills, limited for time we didn't venture that far, planning for next week if all goes to plan.

Have you been able to notice any performance gains when using carbon fibre in the core.

Thanks guys, Rod yes I am guilty of some joinery time, and Mik I am by far a computer Guru, but the guy I built the 62" for has the know how so I will see what we can do, I think I have to open a you tube account or something.

Some more stats,

Gday all, just wanted to share my first 8 shots of the day with the 60", shot from 15 metres away with 55-75 GT trads, the two with red and white feathers are 35-55's. Usually I will have a 4 or 5 on target, but I am getting better. The last couple of days I've got it nutted and pretty keen to go "Goatchasin" with this lil weapon. Only been using the 55-75's for a couple of days but they are way better for this bow.
