Wayno's Justastik arrowcraft UPDATED June 2017

#1 Post by UPTHETOP » Wed Nov 09, 2011 9:29 am

Been a while since I have made a set of plain jains with no splicing to do on the feather work and boy it is a lot faster allright. Before anyone picks the second arrow with the single red stripe its the prototype that was bare tuned first. Steve (old silver ) ya arrows are on the way.

POC'S 50-55LB SPINE.
Stained Golden brown, satin finish.
Crested red, black and white
5 inch barred and red feathers.
125Grn pionts total weight 520grn's.

Cheers Wayno

They all look fantastic. I would be afraid to shoot em! (Probably more an indication of my talents than anything else )

Looking at the spliced fletching makes me think it takes a swag of time and a steady hand.

Top effort.

Nice! I like the cresting. And I know what you mean by 'plain' when there's no messing with spliced fletches.

Well I finally got around to building some new flu-flu's as havn't had any for a long while. You see the last ones where smashed to pieces from someone on this site on an intoxicated Gladdy muster weekend. (someone TRIED TO BLAME me for leaving them in the door of the camper van trailer) but never the less someone else slammed shut the door onto some nice douglas fir flu-flu's which didn't with stand the 100 tones of Mead intoxicated strength forced upon them.

There is always an excuse for making new arrows so here they are.

Cheers Wayno

Very nice work I'm envious, but console myself with the knowledge that any arrow unfortunate to end up in my quiver has a very short life expectancy so it would be a crime to sacrifice ones as good as those!!
