Thanks for this. I read back from beginning and enjoyed them all. I make my own arrows but very rough and ready compared to yours, excellent work, especially the footed shafts and spliced fletching.

G'day Wayno,

Seems you've got that footing business down pat mate. They look fantastic. I still have that 1/2 dozen shaft you gave me to try footing for you years ago..... still haven't had a go yet, been too busy makin bows when I can  . I will give them (and a dozen northern pine shafts that are begging to be footed) back to you next time you are around as you do it much better than my first attempt  .

Cheers.... Rod

Okay fellas the resent set. I Have been working on a little project making an arrow display case which is made up of you guessed it Douglas Fir, I figure if I ever run out of arrows I can always brake the case up and get a few more shafts out of it.
The Shafts are :
Hand-planed and matched Douglas Fir 11/32's,
Stained walnut, bare space and crested red, white, black and silver,
Fletched Trad bar, splice red and white cock feather,
60-65lb, Total weight depending on points or broadheads.
Cheers Enjoy

Yeah mate. The Douglas Fir/Oregon is one of my favourite arrow shaft materials. I have used it a lot over the years.

Nice!!! I'm going to start writing the arrow's spec on the arrow like you have. I've got so many, it's hard to remember what's what.
There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.
