My ugly sister bow

#1 Post by BenBow » Sun Aug 08, 2010 9:43 am

Here are some pictures of a bow I made for myself. I built it like the one I showed earlier. This is the ugly sister to that one. I haven't checked the weight on it but it started out at 75 lbs before I did the final width and rounded edges. It feels like it could have ended up at around 60 lbs. It's a 64" n to n bow. Camo job turned out well as I had a hard time seeing it in the pictures.

The camo job sure makes the bow ugly alright. You better not put it down out in the field or you mightn't find it.

 I checked the weight on it and it's 64lb at 28" and 61 at my 27" draw. About 4-5 lbs heavier than I wanted but it will make good elk medicine in 3 weeks. :D

That it should mate! All the best with the hunt and don't forget to post some photos up here for us to see. :D
