My latest projects....(pics) UPDATE
Hello,
as i always like new ideas and love to see pics of youre projects i thought id share some of my latest works.
1. Side-quiver
As i like some things about bowquivers but dont like em on my bows i made a side quiver out of half a Thunderhorn Boa, some Piggy Backers, some aluminum, a piece of leather and a strap.
First i made for 8 arrows but that was to clumpsy and i shortend it for 6 arrows.
2. new arrows
The set of arrows ive put the most work in till now.
340 MFX Classics 30", 50 grain insert, 125 grain point, alufooting back and front; 4x4" feathers wound with dental floss. Since i leave the back-foting longer and wind it in i like the looks much better.
3. bow bag
Out of an old wool blanket and B50 string and some straps i sewed a tight fitting bag for my Bob Lee TD LB.
4. pouch
same materials as the bow bag made a small belt pouch for points, string, nocks etc.
Still have to put a button on it, will use a horn button that is in the making.
Hope you liked it,
Regards Axel

Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!

You have been busy mate. I like the quiver you made. I made a similar one up from one of my son's bow quivers for my last hunt to see if I liked it and I found it to be good and will probably buy a similar one to yours or make one up.

If you make one yourself, ive been experimenting and think the most arrows in a non-clumpsy way would be held if the points wre in one line and the clamps are in a half circle. Will make another try for 8 arrows someday.
No Rod, not anymore! Weather ent from -10°C and 60 cm snow to +14°C and rain in 24 hours. Somethings wrong! But at least the snows gone for now.

Thanks mate; I was looking at the GFA style ones which don't fan the arrows out so much as I find when they are faned out they catch on more bushes etc.g_r wrote:If you make one yourself, ive been experimenting and think the most arrows in a non-clumpsy way would be held if the points wre in one line and the clamps are in a half circle.

Here are details from the side quiver:
and heres a small bow quiver i made with the rest of the Boa yesterday evening.
it will hold 2 2or3 blade heads or 3 field points/blunts.
thanks for looking!
