when u cut inner tubes do u cut them straight or do u cut them as though they where spiraling around a central axis??

i'm no expert mate but i go staight, as in around the tyre as if it where rolling. if you go across it he band will be thick and thin as the rubber on inner side (that touches the rim) is thicker than the outer that touches the tyre.

someone else may know better or do otherwise

i go sideways round the tube,i'm still useing the first lot i cut,i think i've done five bows with it so far,i'm going to cut it the way Otis does next time i think it would be easier to cut it that way too...................Rod
