Take down 60"

#1 Post by Alex » Sun Jun 07, 2009 9:12 pm

Still lots of work to do but already gone through first tilering and it is well aligned.
Hoping for 56 - 57 pounds draw weight. Maple core, black glass.
Binghan's design with some minor modifications.
Alex.

Be careful there's no cure for the bow building bug. Nice work.

Thanks guys.
Going to fit the overlays and limb reinforcement during this week.
After that it will be pretty much hand sanding and final tilering.
Then finish and more pics by the next weekend.
I will be in touch!
Alex.

Hey Steve.
Still using the bamboo flooring that I got some time ago. It is bamboo and a strip of kwila.
Overlays of jarrah on the belly of the limb tip and one of spotted gum just under the bolt.

Hey Al.
Pics will come by the end of the week as it is now that the real work starts with all the hand sanding and finishing touchs.
Still have to fit the limb tips and blablabla....
You guys know the drill !
Anyways, thanks to all for the good feedback.
Alex.
