Hello

Where to source materials etc. Also the place to show off your new bow or quiver etc.... Making things belongs in Traditional Crafts.

Forum newbie here!

Fresh faced longbow archer from the UK. I'm shooting a 56lb bow and I'm just about to make my first arrows thanks to this goldmine of a site!

Big hi to you all!

G'day Jason,

Welcome to the site. Glad you have found the site a help to you. We look forward to your input. If you have questions please don't hesitate to ask as that is how we all learn.

What make of bow have you got and do you have some photos to show us?

Hey all - many thanks for the warm welcome - I'm getting info overload here at the moment! You guys know your stuff and I'm so glad I found this place.

Couple of answers:

I'm shooting a Tri-laminate English Longbow, 56lb made from Osage, Hickory and Greenheart. Made by a very talented UK bowyer called Rod Lyons. Will post pics as soon as I get some together :) It's my pride and joy (although I would really love a one piece Yew bow).

Yep I'll post pics of arrows if you all promise not to laugh too much - gotta start somewhere lol
