Yeah, and how the heck are you going to mount that bag on the wall of your lounge room?
Stupid TV! Be more funny!
Re: Got my new Hoyt Dorado Trad Tech recurve - what a shooter!
Steve, yeah, sorry about that...
I was shooting so well with it out to 20m, I was pretty stoked. One of those bows you just point and shoot.
No wonder they are raving about them.

hey gundy, is there any chance you could do a tutorial on how to do the video thing?
The degree of satisfaction gained from the accomplishment of a goal is directly proportional to the hardships and challenges overcome in order to achieve it.

Yep, ill start a new thread.
Re: Got my new Hoyt Dorado Trad Tech recurve - what a shooter!
Just wondering does the bow quiver make it unbalanced to shoot straight or doesnt it make a diference?
Cheers, Toby
Re: Got my new Hoyt Dorado Trad Tech recurve - what a shooter!
Does not seem to effect my shooting, but I have heard that others have cut the posts down (as supplied with the quiver) to bring it in closer to the riser and it has helped them. I like tha added weight out to the side, but I guess it is what you are use to.
Re: Got my new Hoyt Dorado Trad Tech recurve - what a shooter!
They look handy and durable, im mostly a stumpshooter so i go through a few arrows so i prefer the back one, thats becuase its the only one i have tried hahaha

Re: Got my new Hoyt Dorado Trad Tech recurve - what a shooter!
Hi Guy, What weight were you shooting when you were having the target panic? I have found spending some time with a lighter bow benificial for combating the problem. Is the Dorado draw weight adjustable? Steve
Re: Got my new Hoyt Dorado Trad Tech recurve - what a shooter!
Nev, yes, I know, shes a modern beast!
Steve, I think that I have always had the problem to be honest, but only just recently doing something about it, or accepting it, one or the other. The Dorado is not adjustable. I have the problem with any poundage, but I am combatting it better with heavier poundage, which is away from the norm I guess. I suppose I feel more comfortable with a heavier draw weight (for me) around the 55/56# mark. Mind you, I only seem to have it at the target butt, not in the field. I shoot a lot better stump shooting than on targets. More adrenaline maybe.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is no where as important as being able to place it in the correct spot....!
Re: Got my new Hoyt Dorado Trad Tech recurve - what a shooter!
I have never shot one of those Guy. I once owned a Gamemaster 1. Fast bow! Radical looking however...
I like the Dorados 'common' look when it comes to Recurve design.
Extremely light package too!
Oh yeah, glad you made it mate! Welcome!

Good looking bow mate, Hoyt know what their doing I think. Better not lay it down in the bush or you'll never find it!
I'll have to come down for a test run!
