Yup that's a lot of 1080, and of course most the best the South West is around the water catchment. it's a lot of money and it won't eradicate just knock em down amongst all the other species inadvertantly getting hit.
Get amongst while you can mate.

If your not having fun, your doing it for all the wrong reasons

from what i understand it's to control feral pigs in the drinking water catchment area's where all public access is prohibited anyway. the money they plan to spend wont go far and will most likely just manage the population.
IF IT'S FERAL, IT'S IN PERIL!

Yup, In line with their previous failures of trapping, if they plan to bait it will also only knock em back. It's a shame WA legsilation around hunting on crown land is so backward. It just encourages a lively underground poaching culture, rather than allowing hunting to be a family pastime within reach of every bloke and his kids. In WA you better be mates with a few Cockies with good shooting on their leases or you will be scratching to get a hunt.

Sounds a lot like North Queensland mate. So many poachers have turned most of the cockies off from letting anyone in. A place I used to hunt I was denied access because some decrepit poacher knocked over a bullock and took one rump. The poor bugger just couldn't take it anymore .Chuditch wrote: In WA you better be mates with a few Cockies with good shooting on their leases or you will be scratching to get a hunt.
