General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

We have big problems with the Koi carp in the upper North Island, any waterway connected to the Waikato river has them in it.
I took Scrub Bull down there(5 minutes from home)a couple of years back & shot a few.
the most I'v shot in a 2 hour period is 22,the heaviest 9kg.
Good fun on a sunny afternoon

The koi didn't come from home fish tanks but where illegally release by a bunch of muppets.
The new immigrants(being politically correct)as sports fish.Same pay well for live ones for their garden ponds, arrow holes don't help apparently
A fertiliser factory has been opened up just to process them.
It is well understood that there is no way of getting rid of them.
One koi can lay hundreds of thousands of eggs per year,in the summer the side streams are boiling with their fry
