Interest, How many Folks out there have Ambulance Cover.
When my Bride (Heather) fell and shattered her hip in Kingaroy and was taken to the Kingaroy hospital by Ambulance a distance of say no more than 5klms the fee for that ride is $1,094.95.
As a Self Funded Retire with a small pension we are covered. All holders of Victorian Health Care cards and Pensioner Concession cards are entitled to Free ambulance and Air ambulance travel anywhere in Australia. Just as well we are covered. That $1000, will buy a lot of Archery Miles. Cheers Roadie.

Good that you are covered Grant. Our private health insurance includes ambulance cover for all family members. Thanks for the reminder though.

In Queensland Ambulance cover is free.
