Wildwood Traditional Archery - Close down
Hi all,
just a note to let you all know that after six years of operation Wildwood Traditional Archery will no longer be selling goods from our internet site. We will however continue to sell some of our gear through Arrows plus Archery Range in Point Cook Victoria. www.arrowsplus.net
I would like to take this opportunity to say it has been a pleasure to serve the traditional archery community in Australia and indeed in many countries around the world. I for one have made many good friends and been fortunate enough to visit and shoot at some top clubs in this country. What I have also experienced is the fantastic atmosphere that exists within the traditional archery community in this country and I feel that it is this aspect that is the strength that binds Traditional Archers in this country. The generosity, good humour and willingness to set fun and the enjoyment of the experience above winning at all costs that makes Traditional Archery a joy to be involved in. In this period of six years I have seen traditional archery in Australia rise to the fore and take is rightful place amongst other archery disciplines, with a lot of hard work and just a small amount of irreverence to temper this process.
I would also like to thank the bow makers that have been part of the team, Steve Jawerth, Steve Stratton, Istvan Toth and Len Buckland, all fantastic bowyers in their own right and unique in their expression of their art. Watching these guys grow and refine their work over the years has been a pleasure and I have been proud to be associated with men of such talent and commitment to their craft.
It was our hope at the inception of this business that in some small way we might raise the profile of bow making and traditional archery in Australia through the operaiton of this business. We also felt that our mission was to support one man operators and give them a forum to showcase their work. A bonus of this association is that each one of these guys has become a personal friend and that is a reward I will continue to enjoy. In this I would like to also thank Leigh Adamson who shared this vision with me and through our collaboration made an idea into a reality.
To our customers, a massive thank you, for without your support Wildwood would not have existed, it is my sincerest hope that we were able to serve you well and supply you with good honest advice as well as top quality goods.
As I approach the end of my studies and near the time of moving into my new profession I am looking to the future with the excitement of new challenges and a fresh start serving people in a different capacity, this time through my work in the field of Chinese medicine.
kind regards and see you on the range.

thanks for the well wishes everyone, I appreciate your kind words. I will still be around the traps shooting again when I am done with my study. I have missed it! Now if I can just figure out a medicinal application for Marks Vanilla Whisky I will be a happy man!

... may have dubious medicinal qualities the night before for us Nev but certainly not for Tony J the next day! He still regrets shooting with us on the Sunday! Mind you we both shot a good round eh?
