Hackers

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

Hackers

#1 Post by Stickbow Hunter » Mon Apr 16, 2012 9:58 am

G'day All,

Yesterday afternoon there was a hack attempt on Ozbow and as a safety precaution the site was automatically shut down. :x Usually this sets off an alarm and the hosts then are able to hook the site back up again but for some reason the alarm didn't register so we were down until I could speak with our host this morning.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Jeff

rotten $#@% is all I can say. Dont know how many times we had calls purporting to be from Microsoft and that there' s a problem with our computer. I am so sick of them I just give 'em both barrels now. What a shame they cant turn their creativity toward being gainfully employed and now trying to scam people.
