I love looking at your pics, Axel! So different to what we are used to down here.

all that moss and the forests of deciduous trees looks positively surreal to me, like something out of a period movie. great scenery but COLD.

Nice photos mate. Do you know anymore about the old ruined building. It is great that your girlfriend likes archery too. Does the dog fetch your arrows

Craig, have you been watching reruns of Vic Morrow's series "Combat!" again. I definitely had you pegged as a F-Troop man myself.

Axel, great photos again. Thank you I always enjoy your little pictorials from the other side of the world.

Cheers

By the way Axel, why is all your clothing lying on the ground in the last photo??

Did you lose the day's shooting and therefore the bet?

Cheers

  Naa, its just the backpack with the spare sweaters attached to it. Eve has been shooting very good, but luckily for me not better than me, its one thing my ego wouldnt be able to handle

Rod, those arrows belong to the lady...im not man enough for pink

Steven, the dog doesnt fetch arrows, he doesnt even bother to help finding lost ones...the useless mongrel is only intrested in his tennis-ball.

bigbob, not cold at all, we had wonderfull mild 13°C.

The "old building" aint one and never has been. Its a walled spring and the water runs down the steps into the river.
It was for watering cattle and said to have kind of a healing power for it. If im not totally mistaken it should have been build more than 300 years ago, there is a big old manor nearby that is documented back to the 1700s.
Weve got quite some old stuff round here, the vaulted cellar in my house for example is originally from the 16 th century, survived the bombing of WW 2 and still stands strong enough to support a four storied building. The town i live in was first mentioned in documents in the year of 1329 and theres still some stuff standing from that time.....

Crikey! Imagine how that sounds to people that are in a country not yet 230 years old itself! Well, the land is ancient, but the entity known as "Australia" is still an infant as far as countries go.
1329? Awesome, really! 8)
